Comfort, cleanliness and character! Positive: The cottage was pristine, tastefully decorated, sublimely comfortable and fully stocked. The breakfast provisions left for us were very generous and a good variety - bread, crumpets, cereal, yoghurt, eggs and juices.?Having flown from Australia , then driven from Gatwick, we were exhausted and were delighted when we walked into such an outstanding property. The bedrooms are all a good size, beds comfortable and the linen good quality and snowy white. Having a washer and dryer was a definite bonus. It’s a great base to explore Bath and surrounds. We left the car in the secure parking area and walked a minute down the road to catch the 100 bus into Bath. At £4 for a return ticket it was a cheap, stress free way to get into this gorgeous city. There are shops a few minutes drive away to buy essentials, like wine. This is one of the best properties I have ever stayed in. Negative: Not a problem for us, but the stairs are quite steep to the second storey and no downstairs toilet.

Positive: The ‘breakfast’ was all the essentials plus so much more - cereals, bread, crumpets, butter, jams, eggs, milk, yoghurts, crisps, fresh juice, squash, coffee, even a big bowl of sweets. The hosts had thought of literally everything. It was home away from home. The layout of the cottage is perfect for family/ friend get togethers, open plan kitchen diner and lounge, large double room with en-suite and two king size bedrooms plus family bathroom. The whole cottage is modern, bright and airy. There is a private patio with a beautiful seating area. There is also private ample parking for several cars. The location is great for access to Bristol, Bath, Wells, Cheddar and Glastonbury. Negative: Nothing could have been any better.

I had a wonderful stay—the place was spotless, spacious, and full of thoughtful touches; I would absolutely recommend it Positive: I really loved how clean, welcoming, and spacious the property was. The breakfast items, wine, and cupboard provisions were such a thoughtful touch. Negative: The only minor downsides were that we couldn’t find a TV remote for the en-suite room, and it would’ve been nice if we could have had a 45-minute later check-out. I did ask ahead of time, though, and was given a prompt and polite response. Overall, neither of these things affected the quality of our stay.
